Major events — whether international, national, local or personal — can deeply impact learning. Especially at NYU, a global community whose members have diverse backgrounds and perspectives, educators must consider how to support and guide students through challenging moments.
Below is a collection of resources on how to promote constructive dialogue and to support all learners in the classroom. Being prepared and intentional can help turn potentially divisive or alienating situations into opportunities for building bridges and fostering new insights.
This collection is only the beginning. There are over 50 TeachTalks, which are faculty-led conversations about the classroom issues that matter most. The offerings will continue to expand. Please view the complete list of past and upcoming TeachTalks, join the TeachTalks community forum, and share your ideas for future TeachTalks.
